great floor puzzle for kids to learn their abs and numbers with I love how the number train has not only a picture but also the number and corresponding dots below. helps them to match the numbers 3 ways.

I bought this for my active 2.5 years old. I personally find it a little complicated, too many pieces involved. The number train has 3 pieces for each wagon, 1 base with dots indicating the corresponding number (1 dot as for number 1 etc)’ the top piece with a number of animals (let’s say 1 zebra for number 1, 2 dogs for number 2 etc) and a small square piece that fits in between the base and the top part of the wagon with the number on it. I personally think there are too many pieces involved. The alphabet train on the other hand is cut in very odd shapes making it harder to figure out.
I ended up buying also the M&D alphabet puzzle train which is pretty straight forward with wagon shaped pieces so he can just focus on finding the progressive letters rather than trying to fit in the mis-shapen pieces.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good challenging puzzle for toddlers with patience to figure it out I just find there are too many pieces. My son likes it though.

Love the trains! We pre-sorted them for our child so she wouldn’t get mixed up with all the parts. ABC and numbers extra. She is 2 and will do the puzzle. Practices the ABC and the animas are friendly and easy. Some little thinking tricks like FLAG or NEWSPAPER where you need to help your child:-) This is not a animal:-) lol But fun even in my age!
