Marty Noble has captured the true magic of Christmas in these captivating mandalas, in each illustration she has brought together the timeless, traditional, holiday symbols and images we love, and imaginatively combined and entwined them into captivating, balanced, stunning mandalas that will inspire you and leave you remembering Christmases past and dreaming of Christmases to come.
Every single illustration can be colored completely or only the details colored and the larger areas left white and uncolored, coloring these mandalas either way creates amazing art work, worthy of framing.
This is a reprint of the Dover Christmas Mandala coloring book to provide you with one image per page instead of front and back of each page as in the Dover edition. Marker people Rejoice!
1. 31 Christmas mandalas, printed one per page (The back of each page is blank) on medium weight, bright white paper.
2. Each page is perforated for easy removal from the book.
3. Markers and some Gel pens leak through the paper, I place a piece of scrap paper under the page I am coloring to prevent damage to the next illustration.
4. Every single illustration can be colored completely or the details can be colored and the larger areas left white and uncolored, coloring either way creates amazing art work, worthy of framing.
5. Ultra fine Markers, Gel Pens, Colored Pencils, are perfect for the detailed mandalas in this book.
6. Creative Haven has just published another mandala coloring book by Marty Noble called “Snowflake Mandalas” . Filled with Swirling, Glistening, and Cascading Snowflake mandalas you might also like.

This is a fun set of Christmas mandala designs that will give me hours of coloring fun. The book is a reprint of an earlier book by Dover. Apparently, the reprint was done to provide the colorist with a single-sided version of the book so we can color each and every page without fear of ink leaching through and damaging the design on the backside of the page. The designs are by artist Marty Noble who is an artist whose work I really enjoy and whose books I am always eager to color.
Some of the designs are have intricate parts and for those, I will probably have to use my magnifying lamp. For the vast majority of this book, I don’t think my magnifier will be necessary. I use a true color bulb in my lamp which helps me immensely while I am making color choices for my use.
While the designs are all based on mandalas, the subject of each is very different – there are Santas, angels, snowmen, candles, poinsettias, Christmas trees and much, much more.
There are 31 designs in this coloring book. As with all of the Creative Haven books that I have used in the past, these are on a bright white page that is a fairly heavy stock. The designs are printed on one side of the page only and the edges of each page have good perforations which make it easy to remove from the book.
All of my gel pens and markers bleed through on Creative Haven books and this book is no different. I use freezer paper in between the sheets (if I am keeping it in the book) or under the page if I remove it from the book. I find that it works well for me. You can also put multiple sheets of heavy stock paper in between if you don’t have freezer paper handy.
I have been coloring adult color books as a way to relieve the stress of the day. Whenever I am in the mood to bring on the holiday spirit, this is a book that I can pull out and have fun with while I let the stress of the day disappear.
