I spent months scouring Amazon looking for a balance bike for my two year old. It seemed like every bike out there had major complaints about it. After reading the almost all positive reviews for this bike, I decided to spend a bit more money on this balance bike compared to some of the others. I wasn’t disappointed in my choice. My son LOVES this bike! It is the absolute perfect size for him. He feels in control when riding because nobody has to help him with pedals or keeping his balance. The tires are made out of foam (which seemed to be a complaint by some), but my son has ridden this indoor and outdoor and hasn’t had any issues with the tires. I haven’t had to adjust the seat yet, but it seems fairly simple to do. I feel like this bike teaches your kids to independently ride, while building confidence in their ability to balance the bike.

Older child ‘got it’, younger child it was purchased for did not, September 30, 2016

We purchased this for our four year old daughter. It arrived damaged (huge gash in the box which scraped up the paint on the side) but my daughter was so excited about the bike and we figured bikes get scraped up fast so we did not bother returning/ exchanging it.
Our six year old is having a bit of trouble learning how to ride without training wheels and we were hoping a balance bike would help out our four year old daughter. Interestingly enough, our six year old tried this bike out and within a few minutes had a “AHA!” moment and got on his bike (sans training wheels) and took off. Pretty cool!
However, our four year old gets bored quickly using this bike. Maybe she needs more time to get comfortable with it but she misses having pedals like on her tricycle. Of course, had she not been ever introduced to using pedals maybe this would not be a problem.
We are hoping she grows to love it as she gets more comfortable with using it.
Overall, we chose this particular balance bike because of the gender neutral color (we chose the powder blue) so her younger brother can use it once she is finished with it. I also liked the look of the bike and the size is perfect for her needs. The place to rest your feet is also nice. Our favorite feature of this bike so far is how easy it is to adjust the seat. This made it easy for both of our kids to try it out in a parking lot without any tools. The tires are made out of a high quality plastic which we are happy with since we won’t need to mess with filling up tires.
My only thoughts, and why I did not give it a perfect rating (besides the fact it was packaged poorly and arrived damaged) are that 1. A kickstand would be great on this 2. I wonder if some sort of hybrid balance bike or having options for pedals (as another reviewer mentioned- step 1, step 2) might help with the boredom factor of using their legs only.

Best looking balance bike! Well some $200 models are very chic too but I am not shelling that much out for a toy.
Also so practical! Super easy to put together. No engineer degree needed for maintenance. Actually don’t see any maintenance in line.
Some site criticized the foot rest design. I don’t know why but just want you know about that before deciding.
